Jess recalls making the decision to play piano at the young age of 7 while watching Charlie Brown and hearing Vince Guaraldi's jazzy rendition of "O Tannenbaum"!
Since that early start Jess has completed her RCM Grade 8, RCM Grade 3 Music History and Harmony and is actively engaged in pedagogical studies; she is also a Certified Piano Technician from the University of Western Ontario. Jess enjoys classical music ( Chopin and Tchaikovsky ) as well as film scores from Disney classics and, of course, Guaraldi's work with the Peanuts gang! Jess believes music study should be an enjoyable process and states emphatically, "If practicing your instrument is tedious, you're not doing it properly!"
