ACHIEVEMENT
Music students put on a great show
To the editor:
I would like to congratulate the staff and students at Millennium Music for putting on a great concert June 19 and 20. The concert gives the students an opportunity to show off their talents to family and friends. This was the first concert that my children participated in and it was a great experience.
My daughter was nervous about playing the piano in front of a crowd but Emily, her teacher, accompanied her out there and she did a great job. There was no competition; all the kids encouraged each other before their performances and congratulated each other when they came off stage.
Mark Hamer and the staff at Millennium Music deserve a huge thank you for putting this event together each year. From organizing and scheduling performances, transporting equipment to the venue and the setup, a lot of time and effort is involved and they all work together as a team.
We can't wait until next year.

Hi Mark ( and staff! )
I wanted to say thanks for the great concert - we were there to see Emily ( Mark's vocal student ) and she did an amazing job, we were a very proud family!
I saw that you had videotaped the concert - do you sell copies, or have any footage of Emily's song that I could get? I don't own a videocamera and I could shoot myself ( pun intended ) for not capturing her performance.

( No worries Cathy and thanks for the feedback - I thought Emily was amazing too! We videotape the entire weekend and will have DVD's at the store soon! )

Hi Mark,
Just wanted to say it was nice to have run into you "twice" these past weeks and it just reminded me of what a wonderful teacher you were for Erik in all his years in music. He continues to be in a band at Queen's and loves every minute of it. You were a great influence in this and I just wanted to say thanks! Take Care! Rhonda
( Thanks for the feedback Rhonda and glad to hear Erik is still playing - he always had a knack & worked hard to develop his skills. )
